Negiyaki is the first dish that catches the eye at Asuka. One diner who used to live nearby says it was such a favourite that they still travel by train to eat it after moving away. They also found the price reasonable, making it a tempting choice for a teppanyaki dinner in Tamatsukuri.

Another regular says they order the yam-yaki every time. You could start with either that or the negiyaki, or try both side by side. Some diners also name the omu-soba as a favourite, offering another teppan option beyond okonomiyaki.
